I am researching the Dundon Family of Vermont and eastern New York. Michael Dundon (c1818-1883) and Ellen (Nelly) McMahon ( dates and parents unknown) had at least six children -Mary, Patrick, Thomas, Martin, Michael and Agnes Bridget who all emigrated to Vermont/ NY in the 1860's-70's. It is believed that the mother Ellen died in Ireland, but the father Michael also emigrated. He is buried in NY, His parents were believed to be Patrick Dundon and Mary Hickey.
Michael Dundon also had a relative ( possible cousin?) who also lived in Vermont. His name was Patrick H. Dundon (c 1822-1882) with parents listed as Thomas Dundon and Cate Donnelly.
There are many other Dundons who emigrated to Salem, New York in the early to mid 1800's. We believe they are all connected. My brother and I are visiting Ireland starting the end of May and would be appreciate any suggestions as to where we may look for records, cemeteries etc. which may have information about this Dundon clan.
Thank you.

Greetings, O Noble Descendants of the Dundon Diaspora,
I may have some thing for you, from my collection,
http://dundongenealogy.weebly.com/
which I am working at currently.
I have located the baptisms of six children, (Thomas, James, Bridget, Martin, Michael Joseph and Norah) born to Michael Dundon and Ellen McMahon, in Partee/Clonlara, Co. Clare.
Norah (Norry) is the only one whose birth is recorded as registering of Catholics did not begin until 1864.
I have located a death certificate for one Ellen McMahon; herdsman and labourer are consistent.
Now did you come to Ireland? If you did you probably have all this information by now.
If you reply to this please do so to dundongenealogy@gmail.com
God bless,
John.
