I traced my gg grandparents, Maurice McKenna & Abigail Kearns to Co. Kerry. Per churchrecords.irishgenealogy.ie for RC parish, Milltown:
Marriage record of Maurice Gnaw of Brackhill to Gobnet Kerin on 22 October 1825.
Baptism record of their child, Mary Gnaw of Castlemaine 15 August 1826.
Baptism record of their child, (my ggrandmother) Bridget Gnaw of Castlemaine 4 April 1829. She emigrates to USA c.1851. Bridget McKenna m. Bernard Curran. They lived in NYC with their eight children: Mary, John, Julia Toomey?,Maurice, Katherine Connolly (my grandmother), Norah, Bernard and Nellie.
Abigail McKenna, probably as a widow, also emigrates to NYC c1856 with dau Ellen b. c1839 d.1894. Abigail's sister, Mary Kearns, is also in NYC.
I would like help in finding the birth/death records of Maurice McKenna (Gnaw) & Abigail Kearns (Gobnet Kerin) who were probably born in early 1800s. I'd appreciate any additional info on this famiy in Milltown, Brackhill, Castlemaine.

All church records from Co. Kerry are available on Irish Genealogy so if there is a record of Maurice and Abigail?s births in Kerry they should be online. It may be that they were born too early so the records do not exist. A useful website is the Irish TImes, they give an overview of what records are available in specific parishes:

I did a search for Maurice in Griffith?s Valuation. This is a property valuation survey carried out in Ireland 1848-64. There was a Maurice McKenna recorded in Kilgobban parish which neighbours Kilcolman. He was recorded there in 1852:
Unfortunately, as there is no genealogical information recorded in Griffith?s it is impossible to know if this is your Maurice. However, if it is, it would narrow his death down to 1852-56.
It may be an idea to contact the Local Studies Department of Kerry County library. They may be able to advise you on any graveyard transcriptions that may be available in the area. www.kerrylibrary.ie/local.asp
