My gr gr grandfather Michael Green was born in County Tipperary abt 1818 to Edmund Green and Catherine Crotty. Came to US late 1840s and settled in St. Louis where he married Catholic in 1852.
Michael married Ann E. Hughes, born in County Mayo in 1816 to John Hughes and Ellen McGowan or McGovern. We are guessing she came over at same time.
I have no information on any siblings for either Mike or Annie but have their complete line in US. I have no info on County parishes so this greatly decreases my chances of finding thier families. Knowing the Irish sometimes named their children after their parents, grandparents and siblings here are their kids name all born in St. Louis, Missouri which may give some indication of famlies in Ireland.
Michael James Green (His kids Theresa, Ann, Kate, Edward, Alexander, Richard) 1855-1912
Katherine Green 1858-1933
Edward Green 1859-1896
James John Green (his kids William, James, Edward, Joseph Richard, Charles, Agnes and Robert.) 1865 -1903
Any help with these surnames in particular parishes or hints on how to narrow my search would be helpful.
thanks

Hi Mike,
Thanks for your message.
You may be able to use Irish land records to help narrow down a parish. These records offer no genealogical information so it can sometimes be hard to know if the record is relevant to your search. However they can also sometimes be used to tie a person to a specific place. There are two:
The Tithe Applotment Books (1823-1838) records a Edmd. Green in Isertkieran parish in 1834
The later Griffith?s Valuation (1848-1864) ,may also be useful:

Although you cannot know if these Greens are related to your Edmund, the parishes may be a starting point for your research.
Alternatively, you could try contacting the Cultruarl Centre in South Tipperary-a fee may apply however. Here is their email:
i hope this is helpful.
Kind regards,
