We have a handwritten note stating:

John Galligan, the lawful son of Patrick Galligan and Margaret Reilly, was baptized on the 15th of October, 1879:. Sponsors: Michael M Lahen(?) Anne Reilly Terence M Comak TT Ballentemple

 

We are trying to learn more about his family.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.

  • What may be the marriage between Patrick Galligan & Margaret Reilly was registered in Cavan town 1877 Vol 8, page 68. That certificate should give you their fathers names, townlands etc with which to find out more about the 2 families.

  • I am new to this site but i seen your post and wanted to write. My grandmother was Annie Reilly born 1907 Killashandra county cavan. Her mom was Annie Galligan born about 1873 married to Thomas Reilly.
    Annie Galligan parents are Andrew and bessie/Elizabeth Gannon

    Did you get dna test done
