The only information I can find is the 1859 Griffiths Valuation head of household listing for Clogher parish. There was a James Teague in Mullans townland. No Susan Mossey but a James and William  Mossey on Main St. in the town of Augher.

  • Good lead. To further research those Teagues and Mosseys you could dig a bit deeper with the Griffith Valuation Revision Books to see if there are any related names taking over the property or lease after 1860 up till around 1930.

  • Hi

I have a relative named James Jefferson Teague Feb. 2, 1794-Jan. 9, 1872 but I have no idea where he was born, lived etc.  My heritage.com and my ancestry.com want money to get more info.  When I searched the name of Teague it shows that the name originated in Galway.  I also heard as a kid that the Mc of Teague was removed "to make things easier". I don't know if that is true.  I hope I can find family that still live in Ireland.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!
