Hi my great great grandparents are in the 1901 & 1911 census living in a house in new Ross macmurrough anastatia quigley Martin quigley and Martin s mother my x3 great grandmother Ellen quigley
Along with my great grandmother Mary Ellen quigley.... She s buried in rosslaire harbour ...Laurence quigley Should be buried in new Ross he died approx 50 years ago
i visited new Ross and the house they lived in in macmurrough only a few weeks ago,
does anybody know what grave yards are in the area they could be buried in ?
I went to the large catholic one in new Ross and walked around and did an on line search when I got home but could not find anything related to quigley (on one census it s spelled quigly) So I was wondering if there were any small church grave yards in the area ??
If anyone has any information on this quigley family birth death baptism records marriage records that would be amazing
Best wishes

Hi Gemma
I've had a search for your Quigleys but didn't do very well I'm afraid.
Here are the marriages for Quigleys to Anastatias from www.rootsireland.ie/ but they are all from Kilkenny and too early to be yours. However there is a Laurence so if the names were passed down maybe there is a connection:

Roman CatholicI'm afraid the death/burial records stop at 1920 so I couldn't find any Wexford Quigley records
You might want to have a look on Griffiths Valuation (free at http://www.askaboutireland.ie/) which has some Quigleys in Wexford in 1853 including some in Old Ross
There are also 25 Quigleys in the Tithe Applotments in Wexford in 1825 & 1833 (free at http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/)
You might also try the National Library of Ireland R C registers now free at http://registers.nli.ie/ & go through the New Ross registers - it's a tough going though
I couldn't find anything on ancestry either I'm afraid
