Peter and Mary married in 1867 in the Gorey registration district. You can get a copy of this record for around 4 euros from the General Register Office. The record should show the names of the fathers of the bride and groom and where the bride and groom were living at the time of marriage. Let me know if you need instructions. See index record  below. I also found Peter in the 1901 and 1911 censuses living with the Kehoes (his daughter was Bridget).

Dear Roger,

Thank you so much for your prompt and helpful response. I have now applied to the GRO in Roscommon for the marriage certificate. I note that in the marriage entry Peter is a Mulloy, while in the census reports he is a Molloy. A not unusual mis-spelling. I have Peter's death certificate, and see that the informant on his death in 1916 was his grandson Edward who, from the 1911 census report, would have been only 13 at that time. I would have anticipated that an adult would have notified the death, but as Edward was present at death perhaps this was normal procedure.

My next target is to try to find Mary Farrell's death, and both Peter and Mary's birth.record. I realise that I will need to go to church records for the latter, but do not really know where to start, or even if any records exist and who to approach. Any advice would be welcomed. I do intend to visit Wexford, probably early next year. Do you happen to know if any grave yards still exist from those times where I may be lucky enough to find headstones or other information?  And all Peter/Mary's children seem to have been born in District of Coolgranny. I have not yet found it on a map.but presumably it still exists and hasn't been swallowed up by any boundary changes.

Finally, in passing, I know that Peter's son James - my grandfather - married an Ellen McDonnell in Dublin in 1902. It would be too much of a coincidence if there were any connection!!

Happy New Year! No connection to the Ellen McDonnell in Dublin.

After looking at your family for awhile, I think that Peter moved from one end of the county to the other end sometime after his wife died in order to live with bridget. Coolgreany is in Inch civil parish in the northeast corner of Wexford and within the Gorey registration district (corresponding to the 1867 marriage record). The 1901 and 1911 census records are in Tintern civil parish in the southwest corner of Wexford which is in the New Ross registration district corresponding to the 1916 death record. 

Assuming Mary Molloy died in the Gorey registration district, this is the best civil death index record I could locate.

Now for some possible bad news. The RC parish in the northeast corner of Wexford is Kilanerin/Killanerin. However, records for that parish do not start until 1852 which mean that baptismal records would not be available prior to 1852 if Peter and Mary were baptized in that parish. http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0597

Here is a link to the parish of Killanerin. http://ferns.ie/kilanerin/  They don't have an e-mail addres so you may want to contact the diocese in Ferns. adm@ferns.ie  They may be able to help with cemeteries not only in Killanerin but also down in Ballycullane which corresponds to Tintern civil parish.
