My father's mother's grandparents were Terence Lohan and Bridget Kinsella of Lissavruggy, James Mannion and Bridget Faghy from Cloonkeen. I look forward to hearing from anyone who may be related or know of these families.

Diane:
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Two suggestions. Here is a link to the online Irish phone book http://www.eirphonebook.ie/ This directory has a percentage of phone users in Ireland. I would search for your surnames in the area around Killeroran. Make sure you use the Residential Tab.
I would also use the search feature on our main message board and look for others who have posted with interests with the same surnames as yours who might be connected to Killeroran.
Same advice would apply to you other message for the Gort area.

My late husband shared these ancestors. My information is as follows:
Terence Lohan and Bridget Kinsella married about 1810 in Ballygar and had at least 7 children: Michael (1812), James (1814), Mary (1816), John (1818), Bridget (1820), Thomas (1824) and Margaret (1827).
My husband was also descended from John Lohan who married Bridget Mannion (daughter of James Mannion and Bridget Faghy) in 1856 and had eight children, inlcluding the eldest, Patrick who emigrated to Australia in 1878 and established a Lohan branch here.

Hi, Bronwyn. Great to hear from you! I've been in touch with other descendants of Patrick's. Could you e-mail me at dlculhane@cs.com?
