    Welcome to ireland Reaching Out!

It looks like Henry and Hanoria/Nora were married in late 1924 or early 1925 since the marriage was registered in the first quarter of 1925.

    First name(s)HenryLast nameLacyRegistration year1925Registered Quarter/YearJan - Mar 1925Registration districtListowelVolume5Page279 MarriageFinder™Henry Lacy married one of these people
Hanoria Hickey, Anna Curtin, Nora Hickey, Katherine Healy, Nora CarmodyCounty-

I looked on the 1911 census and the only young Henry Lacey/Lacy was a 17 year old in Ballymacelligott parish to the southwest of Duagh. http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1911/Kerry/Arabela/Coolnade…

There are too many Hanoria/Nora Hickeys to try to search for her.

You would need to get a copy of the 1925 civil marriage record which would show where the bride and groom were living in 1925 and the names of their fathers. A copy costs four euros from the General Register Office and I can provide instructions.

  • If you check the civil records section of the irish genealogy site you'll find a marriage for Henry Lacy and Hanoria Hickey which took place on November 22, 1924 in Listowel....you can actually do a print out of the marriage record from that site..

Henry's father appears to be John Lacy, a tailor by profession and Hanoria's father is listed as Patrick Hickey, deceased.

Marriage took place at the Church in Listowel...witnesses were Cornelius Hickey and Annie Erwin.

    Hope that helps..

  • My grandfather is Edward lacy he moved to the UK when he was 18!

My grandad was born on the 2/04/1930. His mum (hickey) died when he was 2 years old. My grandad and his brother (harry) were placed in home.
