I have Daniel Brasill and Bridget Hargrove having a daughter Catherine in 1831. Not cear where Bridget came from or when they married but they went on to have 5 children that I can see in the RC Parish records Catherine, Bridget, Daniel, Margaret and John.Daniel may have married twice as there is a marriage in 1844 w an Eliza Canny in Tulla. I cant find any gravestone inscriptions for this Brasill family whom I assume are buried in Tulla.

Catherine aged 16 married Thomas Coughlin and they had at least 9 children. Thomas was a blacksmith born in Co Clare per the 1901 census. Any info on this family appreciated. Liam

Hello there... I am a related to the Clare Hargrove's and they came over to Ireland from Liverpool England in the early 1700s... I believe that the Bridget Hargrove mentioned here would be my 1st cousin 5x removed... I have her marrying a David not Daniel... given the early records and their lack of clarity, this may be the same Bridget and Mr Brasill..

MY RECORDS SHOW THAT BRIDGET MARRIED DAVID Brasill AND HAD A DAUGHTER CATHERINE IN 1836 COUNTY CLARE

ACCORDING TO MY RECORDS, MY BRIDGET HARGROVE    BORN IN Knockatureen, Clare, Ireland IN 1807 TO JOHN (BIG JOHN/JACK) HARDGROVE Hargrove AND HIS SECOND WIFE CATHERINE WALKER.

I DO HAVE THE WORD "CONFIRM" IN THOSE RECORDS, SO THERE MAY HAVE BEEN A QUESTION AS TO THE RIGHT BRIDGET.

JOHN (BIG JOHN/JACK) HARDGROVE Hargrove's BROTHER GEORGE WAS MY 4TH GREAT GRANDFATHER.

DURING THAT GENERATION SOME OF THE HARGROVES IN THE TULLA, SIXMILE BRIDGE AND KNOCKATUREEN AREA DROPPED THE "D" FROM THERE NAME AND SOME KEPT IT...

About half of the families went to Canada, and the United States in the early 1800s. My 3rd GGF came to Canada in 1825. There were a number who stayed in the Tulla, Sixmilebridge area of County Clare.
