Looking for any information on Catherine GRIFFIN BC 1799-1810
May have had a brother Michael - he was a witness at her son Patrick's wedding in Vic 1861 to Annie O'Donnell.
Catherine married Michael Mcmahon in I presume Tomgraney/Tuamgraney.around 1836-1839
Michael emigrated around 1864 at age 60 to Vic & I presume she must have died around that time, I have not been able to find her death reg.
Anything re this family would be most appreciated.

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I was unable to find the marriage record on a data base that has RC parish register data. Here is the link to the parish register http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0764 Records start in November 1832.
I looked at the 1826 Tithe listings and saw four Griffin records in Tomgraney parish but it appears you have those records since the two townlands were Capparoe and Fossamore.
Civil registration of deaths started in 1864 and I was unable to find an index record for Catherine in the Scarriff registration district.

Roger,
I did look at the bap records for the parish for her son Patrick , but could not find anything. Would there be a reason he was not on there. His death cert states Tomgraney also his father's states same area.

No records would exist for Catherine. I can't explain why Patrick is not shown on the Tomgraney register. The marriage may have been in another parish where Catherine lived. I note that the two RC parishes (Feakle and Scarriff) to the north of Kilnoe/Tomgraney have records that start in the 1850s/1860s. Just a thought.
