henry & thomas mcauliffe where convicted of failure to compel to quit in clonmel court 1840, henry aged 20 & thomas 24. they where transported to tasmania for 7 years. Attached is the transcript of the trial by the clonmel herald. Ellen Sheehy deposed she was from five day's before the first of july, three weeks spinning at the house of McAuliffes ; on one of these day's she was in Galbally, and heard of the attack, and after returning that day took the dinner to the prisoners, McAuliffes, who were working then at the bog.
we extensive records of henry & thomas from this trial onwards. am searching catholic records of galbally and parishs around this area but no luck so far with BDMs
