From the pictures on the Internet, Derrynahesco looks rurual to me. I used Google Maps and it appears that Derrynahesco is about 18 kilometers from Monaghan town.

I looked on Roots Ireland and there are many baptismal records for children of a Patrick McCafferty in Tydavnet RC parish. I'm sure there were a number of Patrick McCaffreys in the area. I did not see a Mary Anne around 1850. Do you know the mother's name?

Roger, thank you much.  You have helped me before.  I as well have searched the National Library and have subscriptions to both Ancestry and Find my past.   FYI the cab links do not work.   A woman from Monaghan tourism sent me some taxi numbers to call.  This site is not user friendly.   I had to creat a new email address to access it.   When I tried to sign in it would reject me. I do not know Patrick McCaffrey's wife name it was not listed on the marriage record of his daughter Mary Ann McCaffrey.   Thanks for all your help.
