Anthony and Isabella had 7 children and all their baptism records can be viewed on the subscription site www.rootsireland.ie infortunately none of the 7 records has the surname of mother Isabella, no marriage record found either.

The placename intrigued me – so I had a look, believe it’s a reference to the townland of Gartross which consists of just over 209 acres and is located a short distance to the south east of the town of Magheralinn see : Gartross townland (OSI map c1838). There are some details of the Parish included in Samuel Lewis' Topographical Dictionary of 1837.

This Dillon family were Church of Ireland, and records for the parish are held by PRONI (Public Records Office of Northern Ireland), and include records of baptism, marriage and death/burial back to 1692. RootsIreland appear to have marriage transcript for the parish going back to 1786, so possibly Anthony and Isabella married in a parish that doesn't have records going back far enough, or in a parish they dont cover.

At the time of Griffith's Primary valuation (1864 in this area) there are three Dillon properties noted in the parish - two named Anthony, and one Thomas, also a number of properties with Dickson occupants.

Hi, I am also looking for Kirkwood family.   annie Dillon married David Kirkwood 1890 Lurgan. Also a Ellen Maguire who was a granddaughter in 1901 Cenus to Anthony and Ellen Dillon.  Trying to find who her mother was.  In searching have come across a Samuel Maguire marrying a Elizabeth Dillon?  Any help please?
