Hi. You may have read my message about my great grandfather John Fitzgerald who was born in Coolattin and I don't know if there's any connection with your relatives. His father, William, was born in Clonmel, Tipperary but may have been related to the Fitzgeralds in Coolatin as he ended up living there and marrying Margaret Tobin who was born there. The main reason for my message is that I visited Kilbeheny in October with my brother and actually drove through the townland, Coolattin. We would never have found it if we hadn't bumped into Moss Fitzgerald at the Community Centre and are so grateful to him for giving us directions. We also spent time at the old graveyard which had a number of Fitzgerald headstones. Coolattin was interesting as it seemed that some of the buildings there were the original houses that my relatives may have lived in. I am very happy to email you with the directions if you would like that and share what I have of my family tree with you. I'm not sure how soon your visit is - we are in Sydney, Australia at the moment but i thought I should get in touch in case you are off to Ireland soon. I hope you enjoy your visit as much as we did.

Hi Merline
I sent you an email yesterday so it might be worth looking in your junk email folder in case it went in there. I have got an ancestry subscription as well so can open up my family tree to you although I can't seem to get far enough back to find a definite connection. I'll try resending the email just in case. Hope to hear more from you soon.
Margaret
