I am looking for any information on my great great grandmother Mary (nee McCarthy) Carey ( an her family) born in Prior Parrish about 1811 (according to her gravestone) to Denis and Julia McCarthy (according to her death certficate). Mary married Jerimiah Carey and had at least one daughter, my great grandmother Hannah Carey (born about 1842). Both Mary and Hannah came to the USA (Hannah in 1857) and are buried in Stonington, CT. Hannah married Michael Spellman, also from Ireland (location unknown but believed to be from Co. Cork). If anyone knows any additional nformation regarding my line of McCarthy's, I would greatly appreciate any information.

www.irishgenealogy.ie has Co. Kerry church records. However, it appears the Prior records start in 1850. I have a resource book which indicates that records are available starting in 1832.
