My ancestors William Judge (1799-1874) and Katherine Kelley (1805-1891) lived and were probably born in Doonanaroo Townland in Kilfian Parish.
I am hoping to connect with cousins from these lines. If you have any information you think might be of interest, feel free to contact me.
Thank you.

Hi Roger & Runswithscissors
I'm not familiar with those surnames in that Townland in Griffiths valuation or since, but there are of both names in Kilfian parish
Ancestry & findmypast can be checked for surnames in Kilfian parish (where the townland lies) & try Moygawnagh / Moygownagh parish as sometimes the townland was included in this parish in some records alternatively try the nli.ie marriage and baptism records for the parish. Track the surnames down through the generations is an option
Also try goldenlangan for the Kilfian graveyard records.
Askaboutireland and the nationalarchives.ie hold valuation c1856 & tithe (c1835) respectively
What is the record for your ancestors ? Were they emigrants?

There are a lot of Kelley's but no Judge's at the time of Griffiths Valuation in the mid-1850s, in Moygawnagh.

Best bet is to then use the 1901 & 1911 census to see if any Kelley's / Judge's remained in the area. You can also look for your ancestors in the Tithe Records from the early 1800s here: http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/
Let me know if you have questions - I have ancestors from Kincon.

Here's Doonanroo townland in the tithes. Gardiner was one of the local landlords, who was notorious for evicting tennants.

I know that my ancestors emigrated to Canada in 1827. What I don't know is what family (parents, siblings, cousins) they may have left behind. Thanks to all for your suggestions as to how to explore this question further.

In the tithe books the Kellys in Drumanangle are not related to Kellys in Kilfian. But in recent years Kellys from Glenedagh actually moved to Drumanangle so the kellys there now are originally from near Doonanarroo. Confused?! Well also Doonanaroo is adjacent to Calliaghadoo and that Kelly is a good candidate to chase up. Part of the Doonanaroo townland adjacent is actually im Moygownagh catholic parish.
However the Great Famine brought huge changes to the countryside and there was much relocation of tenures thus your ancestors people may have moved during this time , if indeed they didn't die or emigrate. Bit as your ancestors emigrated in 1827 they were likely of the farming class which suffered less than the poor cottiers & labourers almost wiped out during the Great Famine and thus more likely to have relations who lived.
I'm afraid this is all supposition but I would look at the records for the Kellys in Calliaghadoo as being a likely start
