Hello!
Im researching the Burke family from Kilmaley. The parents and any other possible siblings I don't have. My line comes from Ellen Burke and Patrick McInerney. I have 3 Burke siblings:
Ellen Burke (abt 1833 - abt 1910) moved to Clenagh and married Patrick McInerney (maybe they married in Kilmaley)
Margaret Burke (1815-1902) married Michael Falvey
James Burke (1819-1897) married Catherine Hassett
Can anyone help me? Or direct me?
Thanks and regards
Jason

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
Co. Clare RC parishes are difficult to research because the records are not online for the most part. Here is a link to the parish register for baptisms starting in September 1828 thru April 1882 http://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0796
If you belong to subscription sites like Find My Past or Ancestry World, the records may be available on those sites. The Kilmaley records are not on Roots Ireland which is also a subscription site. By the way, I checked on Find My Past and did not see a baptismal record for Ellen in Kilmaley around 1831.
The Co. Clare library site is an excellent resource for genealogy. I would check to see if they have any records for Kilmaley.

Finally, your best bet is to go to the register slowly when you have time and look for baptismal records for your family. The baptismal records start on page 34 and are fairly legible and in English rather than Latin which is a plus.
The format is name of child followed by parents names. The second line has the sponsor names and then the townland of the parish which is another plus.
Let me know if you have questions.
