I recently discovered my great grandfather, Thomas Joseph Cassidy Sr 1845-1919, was most likely baptized here. His family (Peter and Catharine (nee Muldoon) Cassidy) emigrated around 1870 to the US. I'm still working on these details. A sibling is planning a trip back to Ireland and will be stopping here. How can she connect with Cassidys in the area? Any tips would be much appreciated. Happy New Year!

I looked in the local phone book and there are about 4 people named Cassidy listed in the Kesh/Ederney area (which is where Magheraculmoney is). Search on postcode BT93. It covers quite a large area and you need to focus on those around Kesh and Ederney.
Many people aren’t listed in the phone book these days so no doubt there will be more than the 4 I see.
Magheraculmoney RC baptism and marriage records start in 1836. (The RC church doesn’t generally keep burial records). The parish records are on-line free on the National Library site:

Thank you so much for this very helpful information! Can't wait go to this website.
Would you know if the Catholic churches still have active parishes? We've seen a lot of parishes condensed in the northeast US do to low attendance.

Yes the parish in Magheraculmoney is still very much active. Here's a link to the church, in Irvinestown:
