My great grandfather James J. Conlon (Conlin) was born in 1870. With the help of Elwyn and Pat of the community I have narrowed my search down for now. Catherine Russell was my great grandmother, born in 1881. I am focusing on James Conlon, born in Ballinalee, Longford. I based his Parish on the founding date of the Church of St. James. I have identified his parents as Patt Conlon and Bridget Columb. Feling pretty confident that he is the correct James. There is a Catherine Russell born in Longford in 1881 and she is also my focus. I think that they are a likely couple being born in the same area. I have not yet contacted the Church for further info but I plan to soon. I find no information on this particular Catherine on familysearch.org. I started my search on that site and it has been pretty helpful. I matched James' info from this site to familysearch which helped. I will check with the Church with the info provided on Catherine Russell of Longford. Any help from within this Parish or anywhere would be exciting and appreciated. I'm attaching a ship log with a Catherine Russell and Denis Russell (don't think they're mine but who knows. Her immigration date matches records). They are lines 17 abd 18 I think. Can anyone read the scribble in the far right? Looks like "Sister D. Russell...Union...Cambridge Park etc..." colun 16.
Thanks Again

Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out!
I did send an e-mail to someone local and hopefully she can assist.
I looked at the ship record and can't make out too much more than you. Looks like D. Russell was in Cambridge and the street name appears to end with a DAN. Here is a link to the current street names in Cambridget and maybe you will see a possible match but in 118 years street names change.

Roger,
Thanks so much! I'm going to look at the street names and see what's there. Awesome of you to send out an email as well.
This site is amazing and a great community.
Cheers,
