My GG grandmother, Ellen Hayes was baptized in the Gortnahoe church, according the the parish register. Her parents were Martin Hayes and Bridget Phillips (Ned Phillips and Bidy Ryan her parents). Ellen's siblings were John, Catherine, Edmund, Bridget, and Mary. My husband, myself, and my sons will be in Ireland in June, 2017. We will be in the Tipperary / Twomileborris area June 16-18 and would be thrilled to meet any distant relatives still in the area of Leigh, Ballyerk, Clonoura, or Borris. I am most certain this is where she lived as records show a Martin Hayes living in these areas. Until we meet, cheers!

The year Ellen was born would be a help, and if she married in Ireland (or anywhere else) would also help.
After 1864 Civil registration was implemented and Gortnahoe would come under Thurles. there are 20 Ellen Hayes registered.
Some show the Mothers name but Phillips is not listed.
