Sir Arthur Gore and his wife, Jane Saunders, lived at Saunders Court in the parish of Kilpatrick near Wexford in the mid-1700s. It was a large manor, and they would have employed staff from the local area (they had three sons and two daughters). The outbuildings have been converted to modern accomodation, but there are still signs of the original buildings, including a derelict church and graveyard, now in the middle of a field, possibly inside the boundary of the original Saunders Court, and where Arthur Gore and his wife are buried. Are there any records of the staff who worked there? Arthur Gore was appointed Sheriff of County Wexford in 1738. I have visited, but at a weekend, and had no opportunity to look for records of the manor during and after the family lived there. I would have expecetd that the children were baptised into the Church of Ireland in the now-derelict church, but where such records are, if they still exist, is a mystery.

Hello again!
The only

Thank you Roger. Do I need to move it to the Kilpatrick parish board?

We are having some issues with posting messages on parish pages so hold tight for now.
