I was wondering if anyone knows if there was an Army barracks / camp or similar in the Clogher area in the 1820's / 1830's?

    I suggest you e-mail Omagh library. They have a local studies section. I’d be surprised if one of the staff there couldn’t answer your question and suggest some sources with more information. Ordnance Survey Memoirs for Clogher parish (1830s) for example. Contact details:

  • I believe there was a barracks there for police horses at that time.
