I would like to connect to anyone whi has Athenry Mctigue background. Am attempting to find out whatever I can about the unusual marriage of William Lopdell and Mary McTigue and their relationship with William jnr.....a Protestant marries Cathoilc - and vehement Protestant at that!
Mary was William's housekeeper
They married six years after William's jnr's birth ever I can about the unusual marriage of William Lopdell and Mary McTigue and their relationship with William jnr. What would life have been like fro Mary after the mariage - would she have been accepted into society ??????? Given that crusty olf William denied the existance of Mary and William jnr in his will, one wonders what the household daily life was like?
