I was unable to find the marriage record and I'm wondering if they were married in a parish where records are not available. For example, Mullahoran RC parish just to the north of Drumlumman parish. The marriage records for Mullahoran start in 1859. Civil registration for RC marriages did not begin until 1864.

I did locate two civil birth records for Rose and Margaret and in both records the townland was Killycatron in Drumlumman civil parish. I think this name is the Kilcatherine in your message. I assume John and Mary stayed in Ireland but I don't see them in the 1901 census and I don't see a civil death record for John.. Did any of the children stay in Ireland?

Thank you for your quick reply in trying to help me find more information on my great grandfather and great great grandfather/mother. Finding it extremely difficult in finding anything about John Brady and Mary McGovern could possibly be spelt differently as on birth/baptism certificate it has names of parents but a note says “his mark”?  In reply to your question only daughter Margaret remained in Ireland although I have birth date I cannot find a date or place of her death? Mullahoran is a name that had been mentioned before by my sister but I wasn’t too sure how it was spelt

Margaret I believe joined a convent possibly in Ranagh? Would anyone be able to help me in finding information on the convent and if I could find out more information on Rose.
