Good day!
My great-aunt, Anne "Annie" Kelly born 1874 in Ennis to Patrick Kelly and Mary Sexton, married a man named Michael O'Connor born 1879 in Tiermaclane, a.k.a. Teermaclane, Co. Clare, to John and Bridget Sexton O'Connor. John O'Connor was also born in Tiermaclane, perhaps some time around 1850.
In searching the 1901 Census of Ireland, I did not find any entries for these folks in Tiermaclane, BUT I did find an O'Connor family in Ballyveskil where John & Bridget O'Connor are living and farming. Their sons, Michael, Martin, James and John are living with them as well as their daughter-in-law, Annie. The ages for John, Bridget, Michael, and Annie fit with the information I have. Especially for Michael where I have his baptism date as well as his birthday as recorded on his U.S. Naturalization card. Michael and Anne immigrated to the US in 1902. Michael's brother, James, also came to America and was living in Chicago by 1912.
So my question: did the O'Connor's move to Ballyveskil some time between 1879 and 1901 and begin to farm there? or was the area of Ballyveskill at one time included in the boundaries of Tiermaclane?
Thank you,
Karen

Hi Karen,
the family (which you have) in the 1901 census - http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Clare/Killone/Ballyves…
When you open the link scroll down and click on the link "Enumerator's abstract". You will see the townland was Ballyveskin, parish Clareabbey sub district Tiermaclane etc. Hope that helps.
