Rooney and Brosnan

I suspect that the parish is probably Killentierna which is also known as 'Killeentierna & Currens'. At least one of their children , John was baptised in the parish in 1843. Currans is the name of one of the civil parishes included in this Catholic parish and also the name of a village where one of the chapels for the parish was located. The records for the parish are available on the free IrishGenealogy website.

Shane located the 1843 baptismal record for John. I searched on www.irishgenealogy.ie and the only other baptismal record I located was for a Julia in 1856. Here is a link to the parish register for Kileentierna https://registers.nli.ie/parishes/0664   You may want to scan the register for additional baptismal records although they should have shown up on www.irishgenealogy.ie

The 1852 Griffiths Valuation head of household listings for Currans civil parish does show a John Rooney living in Crag townland http://www.failteromhat.com/griffiths/kerry/currans.htm There are also three Bresnahans in the parish including one in Crag.

Margaret Brosnan, parents listed as Michael Brosnan and Mary Galvin. And I found marriage for the parents in early 1804...same parish.

Is there any more information in Griffiths Evaluation anywhere? I am guessing there is no way to tell if this is the correct John Rooney.
