There are two listings for Thomas Power in Curragh-Querin and Cloncarran in the Tithe Applotment Book of 17 Nov 1827 for Moyarta parish, transcribed at
http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/genealogy/tithe_applot/moyarta…This probably refers to townland of Querrin, whose boundaries were later standardised by the Ordnance Survey.
In Querrin in Griffith's Valuation in 1855, Patrick Power occupied no. 67a and was the only Power occupying a house in the townland. He appears to have been married before 1842, long before civil registration of marriages and before the start of the surviving church registers for the parish, so there is no obvious way of confirming whether he was a son of Thomas or was one of two Pat* Powers in the same townland in 1827 or one of their sons.
Patrick Power has a couple of descendants at www.GEDmatch.com: A939389 and A748630.
You could compare the DNA of Ellen's descendants with these two kits, or post your own GEDmatch kit number here so that those reading this discussion can investigate the DNA comparisons further.
