Hello Helpers,
If this request doe not bear fruit, I believe I can understand. I am hoping to find any information on my Great Great Grandmother Sarah O'Connor who is reported to have been born in 1805 and more than likely in either Cork or Kerry Counties of Southern Ireland. Beyond this I have no other information on the location of her birth, her religous preferrence or her parents.
Thanks, William Henderson

Birth registration didn’t start in Ireland till 1864 so you won’t get birth certificates for the children. You may find their baptism though. You haven’t said what denomination the Henderson family were, but if they originated in Scotland, the most likely is Presbyterian. There are 4 Presbyterian churches in the City of Armagh. The only one with records for the period you are interested in is Armagh 1st and those have gaps. They have baptisms for 1796 to 1803 then there’s a gap till 1825. There are 3 other Presbyterian churches in the city but I am not certain that they were functioning in the early 1800s. Armagh 2nd’s records start in 1825 and it’s possible that’s when it opened.
The records for Armagh 1st are not on-line anywhere so far as I am aware. However there is a copy in PRONI (the public record office) in Belfast. A personal visit is required to view them.

Thanks Elwyn,
This tells me why I am unable to locate any records and while the news is not so good, I have sent off for the Y-DNA tests and will await the results before going on any further. Thanks again for the wonderful information.

William,
If you can’t get to PRONI, you might want to employ a researcher. Researchers in the PRONI area: http://sgni.net

Hi Elwyn,
I may have to go that route if the researchers are not to expensive. The exact perish in Scotland is ( United Presbyterian, Dunblane, Perth, Scotland ) I did mention Presbyterian in my first post but only as an after thought.
Thanks again, William Henderson
