I posted this a couple years back with no luck and am trying again. I am looking for information on Morgan Frawley born abt. 1819. My Ancestry DNA narrows my Irish side to Loophead and the SW part of Clare. He would have emigrated to America between 1840 and 1850. Do not have parent's or sibling's names and can't find an emigration, immigration or naturalization record for Morgan. Spouse was Margaret Garvey, born 1826 in Ireland. They were married between 1842 and 1856 in USA, probably closer to 1856. Children all born in USA: John 1856 and Jerry 1857 in Seely Creek, PA, Michael (my ggrandfather, Spouse Anna Quinn) and Moriah (they were twins) 1861 in Addison, NY, Andrew 1867 in Addison, NY. I have found different records that show Morgan being born in 1819, 1820, 1821, and 1822. I do believe 1819 is correct. All my searching has still left me coming up empty. Trying to find exact location in County Clare they are from. Thanks for any help or tips.

Dear Nockb:
Thank you for your query to the Ireland Reaching Out message board. We have several volunteers in the West Clare are who are very knowledgeable about DNA and they may be abe to assist you. I will forward this query to them. You should expect to hear from them in the next week or so. Thank you for your interest in Ireland Reaching Out.
Kind regards,
Jane

Your search will be hampered by the fact that there are no surviving baptismal records for West Clare from before 1827. See
http://pwaldron.info/KilrushPLU.htmIf you could find a marriage or death record in New York which named the parents of your migrant ancestors, then it might be possible to identify younger siblings in the surviving baptismal records.
Frawley, Garvey and Quinn are all surnames found in West Clare. However, if your only connection to Clare is a prediction from AncestryDNA, then one would have to see your entire pedigree chart and estimated ethnicity percentages to be certain that these ancestors are the route through which you inherited your Clare autosomal DNA.
There are several better DNA comparison websites than AncestryDNA. For details on how to use them, see
http://pwaldron.info/DNA/nextstep.htmlIf you would like help in identifying ancestors from your DNA results, then you should really provide your kit number from genesis.GEDmatch.com in your queries, as that is the best website on which to share your DNA information in a way that can be used by anyone prepared to help you.
