I'm hoping someone can help. My husband's 2xgreatgrandfather was Thomas McMahon. Thomas was the son of Michael McMahon and Bridget Considine, born 9/22/1844, and left Ireland and arrived in Boston in 1865 where he died in 1919. Thomas married Ann McNamara here in Boston in 1869, and they had several children, including my husband's greatgrandfather Patrick McMahon.
I found Thomas' baptism record in Kilmurry Ibricken Clare, diocese of Killaloe dated 9/22/1844.
I also found a marriage record for Michael and Bridget dated Feb 18, 1843 in Cratloe, Clare.
Up until this time we knew that the McMahons were from Clare, but weren't exactly sure. We will be visiting Ireland in May and I'd love to visit the place of Thomas' birth. With that said, how close is Kilmurry Ibricken to Cratloe? Is it close enough that these are the same people?
I haven't found any other records for this family. Do you have any suggestions?

The two parishes that you refer to are on either side of County Clare. I'm not sure if the two entries refer to the same family. Have you checked the parish registers that are online through the Clare Library website?
