Donnellan Family

Hi there,

I"m looking into the Donnellan side of my family. From what I have found out so far I think my great, great grandfather was Henry Donnellan and he was a national school teacher.  He was married to Bridget Leddy who was also a teacher and they had 9 children together.  From what I can see Henry was a teacher at Coolderry National School. I can see them on the 1901 census in Mullaghgarve (sp?) as a family together. Henry died in 1909 and I think after that Bridget and some of the children moved to Dublin.  I think my great grandfather, Patrick, stayed in the area and married Mary Hanna in Cavan.  I would like to find out what happened to his brother, James Henry. He is listed on the 1911 as a National School Teacher in Ballynageeran (sp?) but then can't see a marriage or death for him in the online records.   I think he died in 1949 as he and patrick are buried together in Meath with other family members. 

I was curious if there are any records from the schools surviving from that time (1870's, 1880's for Henry and 1910's onward for James Henry)? on his death record it says henry died in Coolderry (sadly on the same day as his youngest daughter Cecelia) and both deaths were reported by James Henry in Carrickmacross.  Do you think I would be able to find a gravestone for them? Not many members of the surviving family seem to know much about this side of the family so I'm trying to fill in some gaps and add some certainty that this is the "right" Patrck Donnellan as there are more than one in the area!!
