My 3rd great-grandparents were Timothy Mellon (1814-1901) and Rose McVeigh (1827-1902) from the Clonfeacle parish. I believe Rose's parents names were Michael McVeigh and Anna Magronan. Rose and Timothy both immigrated to Philadelphia around 1848. If anyone else is researching the Mellon and McVeigh families, please contact me.

My 4th great grandparents are Archibald Mellon and Jane McNeill. I know he was born in 1795 in county Tyrone (maybe in Omagh). They came to the US about 1848, as did their 5 grown children, Robert, Mary Jane, Martha, Eliza, Margaret and Fannie.I have not found any trace of them in Ireland and do not have any ancestors beyond these who all settled in California (none were ever in Pennsylvania). Do you have any more info on relatives of Timothy Mellon? I am not sure in which Parish my Mellons resided.
I have a lot of information on Robert and most of his sisters, all lived in Sacramento, CA. I don't have anything on Timothy Mellon. Glad to share what I have with you. Carolyn
