Hi Cindi:
The surname of Broderick is predominantly an East Clare surname although there are Brodericks in the Ballyvaughan area. The surnane McNally is found in Ballyvaughan, so it may be a good area to look further at. However, both surnames are in South Galway as well, so you should consider looking at Galway parishes too. Have you checked the Roots Ireland database? You might consider doing so as it has a large collection of transcriptions from parish registers. The website is located here: www.ifhf.rootsireland.ie
The Clare Library website is also worth looking at further particularly with specific parishes. http://www.clarelibrary.ie/eolas/coclare/places/parishes.htm
It is worth visiting the Local Studies Centre in Ennis when you arrive into Clare as their librarians will be able to further narrow down your research. I will also copy this query to our Galway volunteers and someone may be able to assist with further guidance.
Kind regards,
Jane
