I have been trying to locate my ancestor and there is a possibility that he may have come from Kerry. His name was Charles McCormick and there is a COI record in 1799 that his son, William, was baptised in Kilnaughtin. Charles' occupation is listed as
Roscomn Mil. Can anyone please tell me where Kilnaughtin is and what Roscomn Mil is? Charles McCormick is described as a "Harbour Master" elsewhere.

I looked at your late December message and the research provided by Elwyn and the comment about Charles McCormick being a harbour master.
Kilnaughtin parish is the northernmost civil parish in Co. Kerry. The town of Tarbert is within the parish. The parish borders the River Shannon and faces Co. Clare. You (and your car) can take the Tarbert/Killimer ferry across the River Shannon to Clare. I looked up the 1837 Lewis Topographical Dictionary for Kilnaughtin parish. See link.
I can not find any information regarding Roscomm Mil. Maybe Roscommon Militia. In any event if the family lived near the River Shannon it would tie into the harbour master finding since that skill would be needed on the Shannon.
