Hi Colleen . . .
Welcome to Ireland Reaching Out . . .
I began my search for the O'Brien's // Kellys . . .in Co.Tipperary . . . on " Roots " (paid) looking for a
Wedding record c.1860 ( +//- 10 yrs.) . for Cornelius // Julia . . . without success . . . incl. all of Ireland . . .
___________________________________________
Next I searched for the Birth of Cornelius . . . 1830 . . + / - 10 yrs. . . . where approx. hits for Tipperary . . .
One possible . . .was . . . 1832 Clogheen . . . (see below )
1825 Ballyporeen . . (below) . . . ( close proximity to Clogheen )
1836 Emly . . . (below)
1839 Powerstown . . .(below)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tipperary County . . . is the largest County in Ireland . . . so large it was usually divided . . to North - and - South
Whereas . . the Cornelius's above . . . are all in possible locations . . . ALL are in South Tipperary . . .
where (later) I find a record for the Birth of James ( b.1866 ) ( see below ) . . Location . . near TIPPERARY TOWN . . Silverhill Soloheadbeg ( Map below)
____________________________________________________________________________
Because . . Co.Tipperary . . South (in that possible area ) . . shares a close proximity to Co. Limerick . . .
When searching for the Birth of Julia Kelly . . . 1835 +/- 10yrs.
A possibles appears . . . (see below ) (1) Galbally & Aherlow . . . .
___________________________________________________________________________
Colleen . . . because I ran out of time . . . I did NOT . . . research the balance of names and dates . . . of the rest of the family
I hope some of the above . . . adds to your some of knowledge . . .
Cheers . . . Eamonn

Hi Colleen,
I noticed your query tonight regarding Cornelius O'Brien. He was baptized to John and Alice O'Brien, née Connors, in Donohill 6 July 1832. The sponsors were William Moloney and Alice Brien. Julia Kelly was baptzed in the same place on 30 October 1835. Her parents were Patrick and Bridget Kelly, née Elliot and the sponsors were John English and Mary Kelly. Their first son John was born in 1862, but he died in 1866 and the couple named a later boy John.

Ger

Hello Ger and thank you for the information you sent to me. I have neglected my Family History research lately, but am keen to make more time to review the O'Briens and Kellys.
Their daughter, Alice, came to Australia and was married twice. Her second husband was Jens Andreas Jensen (known here as James Andrew Jensen ) born in Kragero, Norway. I have been researching his family recently also.
Again, Thank you for your help, and I wish you well in these amazing times.
Regards
