According to the Tithe Applotment records for 1832 there was Michael Kelly farming at Faughhill, Kilkeevin, Roscommon ..
http://titheapplotmentbooks.nationalarchives.ie/reels/tab//004625668/00… - (fifth from the bottom).
You might also find a BMD from the parish records of Kilkeevin, Diocese of Elphin ...

Hello Kevin Moore,
Michael Kelly in Faughill TA records(1832) is probably the father of William or Luke or both in the GV records(1854).
I did and area comparison of the 1832 area to the 1854 area. Michael's holding of 1832 was roughly 17 acres, whereas Luke's holding of 1854 was roughly 15 acres and William's 10 acres.
Questions concerning these discrepancies in area:.Were new holdings acquired by 1854 or were recorded areas based on actual planted acres?
I have an extensive list of candidates of Michaels from the Kilkeevin Parish Baptismal records. What is a BMD?

Hello Kevin Moore,
Thanks for your findings, many of which were yet to be uncovered.
I have good certainty about Luke Kelly and Bridget Gunning, married
Kilkeevin 12 March? 1850.Also, good certainty about Luke Kelly baptized Kilkeevin 5 May 1828,
son of Michael Kelly and Honora Kearney. Michael Kelly(TA 1832) good
candidate for father of William(GV1854) and my gr gr gandfather.
William's baptismal record not yet certain, but a few Michael
candidates with different mothers. There's estimated 20 years
difference in William and Luke's ages.Have not located Bridget Gunning's baptism. The Gunning surname is in
Foughill records.Where the consistency breaks significantly is for Luke and Bridget's
death ages. Though death ages may be less well known to informants. The Michael Kelly of 1901, 1911 Foughil matches well as Luke and Bridget's son.
Do you have any connections to the Trien Historical Group? Trien is
the adjacent townland to Foughill and has many of the same surnames.
Their survey of the Kilkeevin churchyard has some Foughil entries.Kelly Hunt

Hi Kelly
I don't have any conections to the Trien Historical Group. I only did some research on your family because I was looking at similar records in Roscommon for my family (the Moraghan's from Ardcarn). I did find some baptismal records for Bridget Gunning but I am not sure if any of them are yours:
Bridget Gunning Baptisms
15 March 1769 Degany, County Wicklow
26th August 1805 Riverstown, County Sligo
13th October 1812 Ahamlish, County Sligo (Name spelt as Cunnaan)
1st February 1812 Riverstown, County SligoThe following are possibilities - assuming that Bridget was over 18 when she married in 1850 (it's a shame that her father's name wasn't on the marriage record).
29th May 1826 Riverstown, County Sligo
Father: Daniel
Mother: Margaret Cawley
Sponsors: John Gunning & Maria Lyons6th December 1827 Kingstown, County Dublin
Father: Danial
M0ther: Eliza
Sponsors: Jonathan Murphy& Mary Murphy29th April 1833 Killanummery, County Leitrim
Father: John Gunning
Mother: Mary Brehanny
Sponsors: none recordedBy the way. Don't take ages as being certain. I have found variations of up to 20 years either way with many of my relatives.
