My papertrail has taken me from New Jersey, New York, Curragh Mahoonagh RC Parish Co Limerick and DNA has taken me to Co Kerry.
I have Owen MCCARTHY and his wife Jo"Anna" GRIFFIN baptizing their twin sons, David and Denis, in 1813 Mahoonagh RC Parish, Co Limerick.
David marries Margaret SHANAHAN in 1843 Ballagh, Killeedy Civil Parish, Co Limerick.
Two of their sons, Charles (1850-1903) and Edward (1848-1914) migrate to Manhattan, New York 1879.
Edward migrated with wife, OHARA and children, several didn't live long after migration.
Charles married Elizabeth EDWARDS dau of Daniel EDWARDS and Johanna FOLEY in Manhattan, NY c. 1882.
