Hello all,
http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/pages/1901/Kerry/Lackabaun/Mullaghmarky/1428302/ This is my Kerins family on the census (there are many variations on the spelling and there is even another Kerins family with parents John and Mary in the same parish) including my great grandfather Denis J, all of his siblings and parents John and Mary (maiden name Keane). I have accounted for all siblings but two: Kate and Bredget (born about 1888 and 1890 from what I can tell on this census). I would like to find out where they ended up before I go back further. Perhaps they got married or went off to work somewhere, and I would appreciate any suggestions on where to look. My great grandfather Denis emigrated in 1913 on the Majestic to New York and then went to Dorchester to meet my great grandmother Dora (maiden name Warren) who was already there. Brother Patrick stayed and was buried in Ireland in the 60s, Simon emigrated and died young in New York, Ulick emigrated first to England and ended up in Rhode Island with sister Mary who was already there with her husband Carl. Denis went back to visit Ireland in 1950 and I have his passport with the stamp from Shannon. I imagine that he visited his brother then and maybe his nieces and nephews. Two of Patrick's daughter's came over here to visit and stay with Aunt Mary in the 1950's when my mother was young. I would really appreciate any suggestions about searching for Bredget and Kate. Thank you.
This might be Kate. 1923 marriage of Kate Kearin to John Doyle https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1923/09178/5319743.pdf
I still have had no luck with Bredget. How can you find out if someone became a nun? I am sorting through possibilities this week with the help of Dave and hope to have more information about Kate and Bredget soon.

I thought that I would post an update since I have found the marriage records of Kate and Bredget Kerins. Kate married John Doyle at the Church of Killtallagh, Castlemaine in 1923. Bredget married John Casey at the Church of Scarkoghin (I am not sure if I spelled that correctly, it was hard to make out), Castlemaine in 1924. Now I have new names to search. They did not emigrate as far as I know.

Hi Kerri,
I've looked at the information you provided about your ancestors and did some further research. You wondered about what might have happened to Denis Joseph's sisters Kate and Bridget. I could find no likely marriage or death record for Kate, so perhaps she emigrated like some of her siblings? Alternatively, she might have been the Kate Kerins, working as a domestic servant with this family in 1911: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai002483159/ It's unlikely that she's the Kate that married John Doyle as she seems to have been from Castlemaine.
With regard to Bridget, she is listed on the 1911 Census record: http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/reels/nai002510010/ , but sadly died later that year: https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/deaths_returns/deaths_1911/05378/4500525.pdf The Bridget Kerin who married John Casey is from a different Kerin family.
You are correct about John and Mary Keane's marriage on 14 11 1886 https://civilrecords.irishgenealogy.ie/churchrecords/images/marriage_returns/marriages_1886/10854/5963384.pdf
The townland in which they lived, Mullaghmarky, seems also to have been called Curraheen, Curreheen and Curranes. John worked as a weaver and a labourer. John's father Denis worked as a tradesman and leased a few acres of land in Mullaghmarky around 1850 http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/z/zoomifyDynamicViewer.php?file=124110&path=./pix/124/&rs=12&showpage=1&mysession=2716485221944&width=&height= , and the family lived there until at least 1911.
Mary Keane's father was Simon Keane, who is listed as visiting them on the 1911 Census record. The Keane family came from the townland of Tooreenmore, near the village of Knocknagashel. He was a farmer and is probably the Simon Keane of Knocknagashel listed on Griffith's Valuation of around 1850 http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/z/zoomifyDynamicViewer.php?file=124105&path=./pix/124/&rs=40&showpage=1&mysession=2715761899176&width=&height= He is possibly the same Simon Keane who was married to Bridget Downey, living in Tooreenmore, who had children named John, Patrick, Margaret, Kerry, and Lawrence as some of these names are in the extended family. The Keanes listed in Tooreenmore on Griffith's valuation would also be related http://griffiths.askaboutireland.ie/gv4/z/zoomifyDynamicViewer.php?file=124113&path=./pix/124/&rs=22&showpage=1&mysession=2716352380844&width=&height=
I also found a Death Record for John Kerin on 05 12 1922 http://docstore.kerrycoco.ie/burialrecords/Old_Kilbannivane_1_1922-1942_0004.pdf
