Hi

I'm looking for some extra information on Thomas Denning born Longford, Ireland 1792. I'd love an actual date for starters. 

He was convicted in 1812 and transported to Australia onboard the Three Bees. 

What truly intrigues me is according to this article 
FREEMAN'S JOURNAL - Tuesday November 3rd, 1812. Page 4  
Recorder's Court, Green Street, Dublin, October 23rd, 1812  

Thomas had a wife at the time of his crime. I'd be interested to know who was she? when did they marry? what happened to her when he left? did they have kids? 

 

I know he married my 4x GGM in Parramatta, NSW 1816 & he worked for the Macarthurs. 

The other information I'd truly appreciate is being able to discover his parents. It's been difficult to confirm if Richard Denning & Sarah Ricketts are actually his parents or the parents of a different Thomas Denning. 

If need be I can paste the full article mentioned above if it's not easily found.

    I searched the subscription site Roots Ireland and there is no Thomas Denning baptismal record around 1792 in Co. Longford. However, I did locate a 1794 marriage record at the Ardagh and Moydow RC church. Husband was Thomas Denning and wife Margaret Corcoran Date Oct. 13 1794 Witnesses were Bernard Denning and James Corcoran. I did not find any baptismal records for children. Ardagh records start in 1792.

    Is it possible that your Thomas Denning was older than you thought?

    I believe it could be possible. I realise things were taken 'at their word' a lot of the times. 

    It does mention elsewhere he was 67 when he died in 1862, more putting his birth at 1795. 

    I'll look those names you found, thank you very much :)
