Looking for any information on the ancestors/siblings of Laurence CONNOR/CONOR/O'CONNOR b abt. 1838 in Castleisland, Kerry.
He was the youngest son of James CONNOR and Catherine LYNE of Ireland, possibly Castleisland Co Kerry. He married Bridget BROSNAN in 1865 in Tralee Co. Kerry (Marriage record says Laurence was residing in Dromultan and Bridget was residing in Knockreagh) and were likely the parents of James Lawrence O'Connor b. 11 FEB 1866 in Knockreagh.
Possible siblings include Catherine Connor b. abt 1825, Ellen Connor b. abt 1828, Maurice Connor b. abt 1838
They were Catholic.
Also researching the LYNE, MURPHY, BROSNAN, WALSH related families.
Thank you,
Sean O'Connor (Great Grandson) Worcester, Massachusetts, USA

Hi Sean,
I can see from Griffith's valuation that there were Lynes in Castleisland Parish around 1850 and plenty of Connors in Tralee and Castleisland during that time period -- http://www.askaboutireland.ie/griffith-valuation/index.xml?action=nameSe...
Griffiths also lists family members so by cross referencing with your own data you may be able to expand your family tree.
It also might be worth getting in touch with Castleisland Culture and Heritage Society - http://www.gokerry.ie/castleisland-culture-and-heritage-society/ and Keryy Archaeologicaland Historical Society https://www.kerryhistory.ie/ . They will have local experts who may be able to help in your quest.
Good luck!
