I found a marriage record of Thomas O'Donnell & Julia Dolan - marriage date 10 Oct 1855 in Kilconieron / Carabane / Clonfert Diocese. I am confident in my Dolan ancestry and Galway roots, but now I am searching for more information about the O'Donnell line.
Eventually, Thomas and Julia have (at least) three kids who live in Tipperary (Maybe Carrick On Suir / Clogheen parish / Shanrahan). Not sure how they got there or if the change in location makes sense: Kids names: John James born c. 1859; Martin c. 1860; Julia born April 26, 1868.
Any ideas?

Kaitlyn,
There is record of a Julia O'Donnell born in Butcher Street, Londonderry April 25th 1868 and baptised in Long Tower parish on April 29th 1868.
Parents: Thomas O'Donnell, Occupation RIC (Royal Irish Constabulary) and Julia Dolan. Baptismal Sponsors: Samuel McLaughlin and Mary Anne McGilligan. Source: subscription site www.rootsireland.ie.
The Thomas O'Donnell in Tipperary is recorded as a "Farrier.
I have checked the Civil Records for Julia O'Donnell in Londonderry, but failed to find it.

Thank you for the information! I can't imagine that's the same family with the different locations, but not impossible.

Kaitlyn,
Only yesterday I was speaking with Steve Dolan, a fiend from Kilconiron. Steve is interested in history and I'm not sure if his interests extend to family history. He may be connected to your Dolan family, and you may know him already, I will ask Steve if he knows anything.
There is an RIC barracks in Kilconiron, so maybe Thomas was in the RIC and was moved around? Just a thought. There may be something in RIC records that you follow up on?
Best wishes, Kieran
