Looking for parishes where a Richard Carey (b~1790) could meet a Margaret McMullen to be married in time to emigrate to USA through St. Lawrence River / OgdensburgNY DEC 1819. It appears they traveled with Margaret's father Enos McMullen and brother Enos McMullen (jr.).
Naturalization application in Ohio states all males from Antrim - nothing more specific.
I have used the John Grenham site and can see likely locales for such a boy-meets-girl meeting. Inquiring here for more expertise.
Definitely Rom Cath.
Family "story" that one of the above was a "revolutionary" wanted by the Brits. I cannot see in 1815-1819 any significant 'revolutionary' activities but likely some ongoing 'issues'.
Birth of son Bernard Carey in Ogdensburg is the 'anchor' event. 1 DEC 1819. Might Bernard be a family name/hint? Later children are Daniel, Cath, Mary, Ellen, Sarah; likely family names from either side.
Thanks for any insights you might offer.
Have visited several times, have research card at Trinity. Will be over again.
