I believe Felix Gallagher b.1789approx. And was married to Elenor(Ellen) unknown maiden name, were uncle and Aunt to my GG Grandfather Patrick Gallagher. I believe he came with Elenor to Malone, NY, and perhaps Canada first in 1846 to 1850. The reason I know Killybegs Donegal was his home parish is because it is on his tombstone in St Joseph Cemetary in Malone NY. He died in 1862.
My GG grandfather, Patrick Gallagher, b. 1824 approx and his wife Ann Bannon, came to Malone NY in 1850. They lived next door to Felix and Elenor. They had three boys by 1850. John, James, Felix.
I am not sure if they were from Killybegs also but assume so and I’m also not sure if they were from upper or lower killybegs.
Id like to find their specific home place in killybegs before coming to Malone. I’d like to know if the went to NY first or Canada and then Malone NY. I’d like to know any ancestors names( I believe Patrick’s fathers name was John, as I suspect the naming rules he went by he would have likely named his first son after his dad and he named him John.)
