Aged 15 yrs was one of 117 single female assisted immigrants to Hobart Australia by the Colonial land and Emigration Commission on the 'Louisa" arrived Jan 10th 1853
It is noted that on this voyge the Matron was a Charlotte O'Sullivan she was paid £10.
Previous to this in July 1852 a Charlotte O'Sullivan a matron in a work house volunteered to take charge of 30 girls slected from 50 put forward in return for a free passage aboard the 'Travncore'

Catherine just turned 17 married Henry Rowe 25th September 1854 a convict transport for life, granted a conditional pardon in July 1956 and a ticket of leave in August 1854. He was 36.
They lived in Melville St, Hobart, later moved to Elizabeth St and lived above their drapery business, three shops turned into one
