Edward Murphy of Annaghmakeown, Donaghmore Parish, Co. Tyrone, married Anne Loughran of Killeeshil Parish, Co. Tyrone. They had 8 children, all born in Ireland: Andrew (b: abt 1821), Edward, Michael (b: abt 1829, my 2x great grandfather), James, Ann, Mary, Cornelius and Rose.
According to the Emmigrant Savings Bank records the mother (Anne) and several children came to New York in May 1848 on the Ashburton (but I've never found a record of this). Andrew arrived in Aug 1841 on the Harvest (I have this manifest), and it says he's 20 yrs old. Cornelius moved to San Francisco (don't know when), but is mentioned in the probate records of both his parents as living in SF.
Andrew married Margaret Earls.
Edward married Bridget McRory/Rogers.
Michael married Rose Rogers.
Ann married ??? O'Neill.
James married Rosanne McGrane.
Mary married Michael Stanton.
Cornelius (have not found any info on him).
Rose married ??? Loughran.
