Born 1823-1827 Mitchelstown, Cork. His parents were Patrick O’Brien and his mother was a Stanton
Married Ellen Hanrahan 1858 in Catholic Church, Kilbehenny, Limerick
They had 10 children born in Boher townland, parish Kilbehenny, diocese of Cashel & Emly 1858-1875 and one child born after arriving in Australia.
On all his children’s birth records Michael was a farmer residing at Boher. They departed from Greenock, Scotland in August 1877 and arrived in Maryborough, Queensland, Australia Dec 1877 on the ship “Saraca”.
Michael worked as a labourer once in Maryborough and died 1896 in Maryborough
