Moate Action Group

Moate Action Group was set up in April 2014 on the initiative of local councillors.  Westmeath County Council and representatives of Community Groups in the town.

The objectives of the group is to provide support to local community groups, by providing links with Local Authorities and Government Agencies, to provide admin supports, to research grant opportunities, to support groups developing their actions in the Community and in developing a more holistic community ethos.  One of the aims of the group is to attempt to make Moate and it’s environs the best place tin Ireland to live, work, recreate and do business in.  The towns area of influence has been defines as the catchment area of Moate Community School.
