James Nixon was a Farmer and Cooper, he married Rachel Nixon (no relation) of Omagh, Tyrone in 1827, had 9 children: William, Alexander, James, Martha, Rebecca( my ancestor), Archibald, Margaret,John and Isabella.

He died in 1866.

    I am wondering if you might have a Gedmatch number to compare DNA?  I hava 3great grandmother Mary Nixon that married WIlliam Patterson.   I estimate that they were born around 1809.  William's father was James Patterson.  They were all of Dromore Parish, Tyrone. William and Mary Nixon had 10 children and lived in Aughnamoe Townland.  Mary eventually emigrated to live with her daughter Margaret Jane in Massachusettes after her husband died.   

    I have no information of Mary's parents/siblings- brickwall.  I though maybe we could do a DNA check to see if we are connected?  Our Gedmatch numbers are: SR8783098 , myself, Jill Hunter Rumbarger
