According to family lore Henry and his father Patrick Cassidy worked for the Fitzgeralds, training horses to pull the sulkies so popular for racing. Henry left Ireland circa 1834 and continued his work with horses when he settled in Minnesota. Patrick may have been born in County Fermanagh about 1770.
